Twisters Gymnastics originated in Mountain View in 2006 and relocated to Santa Clara, CA in 2021. We have a history for teaching quality Gymnastics using an educational coaching approach. We have a long history of competitive success at the Local, State, Regional, and National levels, but we believe the real benefits are learning the value of commitment, consistency, and dedication. The kids and families that understand the importance of these values do very well in our program. We LOVE consistent and dedicated families. Often, Twisters becomes a second home for a lot of kids and we take tremendous pride in attaining that kind of success. We believe that Gymnastics is the type of sport that naturally teaches life skills simply by being involved in it because you have the opportunity to keep learning and growing. It‘s a beautiful sport.
We offer a wide range of programs that are designed to meet the needs of individuals of all ages and skill levels. Whether you're looking to compete, improve your strength, flexibility, learn a new skill, or just have fun, we have a program that's right for you.
Our Little Twisters Program and Recreational Program are designed to learn the foundational skills of Gymnastics in a fun and structured class. We take pride and strive to take a smarter and slower approach. Gymnastics sees enough injuries and burnout. We consider ourselves a “School for Gymnastics“. We are not a playground. We believe in fun through learning, play, creativity, and trial and error. Our activities are for those who like structured learning and an educational type of gym experience. Mobility decisions are based, not only on skill level, but overall preparation including listening skills, comprehension, and their behavior in a class setting.
Lead by owners, Allan and Ericka Fusilero, Twisters strives to maintain a program that is educational and competitive. Allan, a member of the UC Berkeley Men's Gymnastics Team from 1994 to 1998 and Ericka a UC Davis Athletic Hall of Fame Inductee in 2008 believe that the true value of Gymnastics lies in developing strength, flexibility, and adaptability. The sport is an academic pursuit that helps develop life long skills outside of Gymnastics.
Daughter, Remi Fusilero earned her third USAG Western National Title by winning the AA, Balance Beam, and Floor Exercise at the 2021 Western National Championships. Little sister, Bentyn, is a successful Level 2 and middle sister, Tula, sometimes, attends our Special Needs classes on Friday. We are a family of "Gym Rats". This is what we do and we love sharing our family passion with others.
Our facility is cleaned and sanitized everyday and we have a welcoming and friendly staff. We‘re certain that we will find the right fit for your child’s Gymnastics endeavor.
